This type of pony trekking is of average difficulty.

The route goes along the northern slopes of Kyrgyz Range. It starts from Kegety gorge where you can see a beautiful forest of Tien-Shan spruces, and goes as far as the Red Rock valley in Boom gorge. At the end of the trip you can rest by Lake Issyk-Kul Lake. Fully supported by our guides, porters and pack horses we get off the beaten track where few other visitors have ever been. Best travel season for this tour: June - September

Itinerary:

1 Arrival in Bishkek. Sightseeing around city. Hotel

2 Transfer to the start point of the trekking in Kegety gorge. This is a majestic gorge, situated 100 km from Bishkek to the east, 2.5 hours away. We will set up Camp, and meet the horses. Short horseback rides. Tent Camp

3 We start with a gentle pack horse supported radial trek out to Kul-Tor Lake. Lunch. Back to the camp and dinner. Tent Camp

4 Horse riding to Kegety and Tura-Kajyn. Tent Camp

5 Radial way out to the Red rock gorge. Return to the camp. Rest. Tent Camp

6 Horse riding to Kock-Djar-Suu. Tent Camp

7 Radial way out to the Red Rock gorge. Night in tents. The end of horse tour. Tent Camp

8 After breakfast transfer from Kock-Djar-Suu to Issyk-Kul Lake, along its northern side (130 km, 2 hours). Lakeshore lodge

9 Rest by Lake Issyk-Kul. Lakeshore lodge

10 Transfer to Bishkek. Departure.
