Our Leaders
When you book your next adventure with Mountain Dynamics, you can be sure that your trip leader will be highly experienced and familiar with the area or specific mountain visited.
There is no recognised national or international qualification for guiding in the Himalaya or other "Greater Ranges" so it is left to individial trekking/guiding companies to determine the level of ability and professionalism of their leaders. For your safety Mountain Dynamics ensure that ALL their leaders have as a minimum, a current first aid qualification and have attended a course covering the specific problems associated with high mountain regions - HACE HAPE etc. Many of our leaders have additional qualifications in the area of expedition and remote area immediate care.
In common with most other major companies in this field, we also ensure that our leaders have a proven track record of leading safe and successful trips to high mountain regions and additionally some have the British AMI, or UIAGM qualifications. Under no circumstances would we appoint a leader with paper qualification who did not additionally display a high degree of professionalism and excellent practical experience in the specific area visited.
