How many people will be in the group? We ensure that our group size for public trips never exceeds 10 persons maximum. Private groups can however have more members if they so wish.
Will my trip definitely go ahead? In common with all the other trekking/expedition company, we have a minimum group size below which the trip cannot run - This is normally 4 persons and we seldom fail to make the minimum number. We would normally offer the booked members the option of a supplement or cancellation in those circumstances.
What kind of
clothing do I need to bring? We will provide an equipment list with the booking confirmation.
How is my money protected? All clients funds are held in a trust account separate from the business account as specified by the EEC Package Holiday Regulations.
Will I be able to keep in touch with family/office whilst travelling? For reasons of safety all our trips and expeditions carry as standard equipment a satellite telephone. This can normally be used by clients at our standard charge of 3.50 USD per minute to keep in touch with home or office as required.
What will the food be like? We try to provide the best food available in a given area. Trips to Nepal enjoy excellent food throughout their trip. Travellers to Kyrgyzstan generally find that the food is reasonably good but not quite as varied as found in other areas.
Why should we travel with you? There are a large number of companies out there, offering treks and expeditions. By and large we all offer similar levels of service so the difference lies in the detail. Small group size, experienced leaders, local contacts and knowledge all add to the overall experience of travelling with Mountain Dynamics.
Why do I need
repatriation/travel insurance? In certain mountainous areas evacuation in the event of illness or injury can be both expensive an problematic. Helicopter evacuation may be the best or even the only option with operators unwilling to evacuate unless guaranteed payment or proof of insurance is in place.
