Everest Classic Trek

There can be fewer trekking destinations more popular than the classic Everest Kala Pattar Trek. If you are looking for solitude and the true wilderness experience you are 40 years too late. Today the area is busy and vibrant with thriving villages and monasteries set spectacularly amongst the highest mountains on the planet. That at least does not change and it is for that reason that this trek will always be an experience not to miss. Almost every list of things to do before you die will have this trek on it, arguably with good reason.

Everest from Kala Pattar

Sherpa culture changes slowly but the life-style is rapidly changing. Today's Sherpa never goes too far without his or her mobile phone and high speed internet access is nearly as important to them as the traditional Kukri.

We take an early morning flight by Twin Otter from Kathmandu to the village of Lukla, startling point for this classic trek. It is here we meet our trek crew, cook and Sherpas before hitting the trail that will eventually lead us to the Everest viewpoint of Kala Pattar at 5545m.

Dates - March 28 - April 15 2011 and November 2 - 20 2011

No of Days - 18 days - Cost £2025.00 Land only price

*Our trips no longer include international flights as our clients come from all over the world and the internet has made available very cheap flights.
